Leash cleaning, it doesn't hurt now

We have the opportunity to take our pets for a walk. For dogs living in the apartment, it is a mandatory daily program, but after the walk, it is worth wiping the animal with a damp cloth.

The leash is the one that comes in contact with the dog and the man is at the other end. At a time when we are disinfecting everything, using masks and gloves, yet we don’t think we have to be afraid of more than just the coronavirus. The leash is a good site for pathogens, yet we don’t usually save. It touches the animal, it can hang on the ground, it rolls through the dust, mud, the dog steps on it, puts it on the bench next to you and you could still continue. Saliva, mud, earth and anything else can touch the leash that only attracts pathogens.

It should also be added that these pathogens only very rarely cause disease, but hygiene does no harm in cleaning the leash. It may be appropriate to wash it with soapy water after use, or if the leash material can withstand it, you can also soak it in water and wash it out. This is worth doing independently of the coronavirus.

Now more importantly, after the walk, the dog is cared for, followed by a very thorough hand wash by the owner.
