The Austrian capital, Vienna, is also a real dog-loving city. However, there are always those who are not so fond of them or not at all. Both views must be respected, but the contrast between the two groups is difficult to reconcile.

Thanks to a new initiative, they want to maintain a balance between dog owners and non-dog owners with dog wardens. They are the people in civilian clothes who make sure that the owners follow the rules for keeping dogs. There are the dog walkers, around the parks, and they provide the owners with information and advice that they deem necessary.

In fact, they are seconded employees of the Veterinary Office, who also have the appropriate qualifications and even have to complete a course before they get to this position.

For the time being, there are 20 trained employees who go around the city of Vienna in civilian clothes and in uniform and take care of order.
