For years, it has been observed that fewer and fewer swallows come back to us to spend. This is not only influenced by human activity.
We wait for the swallows every spring. There are fewer and fewer cute and useful little birds. A swallow really doesn’t do summer, so more and more people are trying to help swallows. If they are fewer, it means that there will be more and more unpleasant and harmful insects.
We can help them by not knocking down their nests, but even luring them with artificial nests.
But it also affects how many people come back, what their way back and forth is. Swallows flying back from their African wintering grounds are not only long, but the weather makes it difficult. Tens of thousands of swallows in Greece have been hit by a windstorm that has claimed the lives of many small birds. The raging wind and cold not only made it difficult for the swallows to march, but it also led to tragedy. The bird that did not die was severely damaged. The Greek population was asked by professionals to take care of the survivors. They may encounter very tired, exhausted swallows now.
