While the status of some animal species falls into the even more endangered category, the population of some shows a rising number. Accordingly, their protection status may also change.
There are more and more wolves in our country as well. Let's think about the specimen that migrated to us last year and spent several days there, but it did not survive its stay . We have more and more people, that's a fact, but the eyes of Brussels seem to be pierced by predators.
The Hungarian authorities were asked to provide fresh data on the domestic wolf population. This was necessary because they want to review the current strictly protected status.
More than 20,000 wolves live in the territory of the member states, and this can be dangerous for farm animals living next to humans and even for humans, which is why they believe that the population must be regulated.
However, according to WWF Hungary, this is not the case, because although the number of wolves is increasing, 6 of the 9 populations living in our environment (even beyond the borders) are still very vulnerable. Since the population of wolves extends beyond the Hungarian border, the introduced amendment could set back the entire positive progress.
