When we think of a wild animal, the beaver is not really the first thing that comes to mind. And so is the beaver.
The rodent, which uses its huge teeth to chop wood, is famous for using the wood it splits with its teeth to build its dam. Since it is a rodent, it is not dangerous for humans.
There was an example of it in Budapest, on the Népsziget.
It prompted the woman walking her dog in the heat to take advantage of the water's properties and cool off. Wading up to his knees in the water and barely cooling himself in this way, a beaver pounced on him and bit him in the calf.
The injury required treatment, the woman received vaccinations, and her wound is checked and treated daily, but she is otherwise fine.
Few people can say that they have been bitten by a beaver, but this dog owner is adding to the list.
