Rural settlements will be expanded with temporary residents in the spring. Electric poles and chimneys are home to many storks.
We look forward to the appearance of these great travelers every spring. Their numbers are declining, and this is well illustrated by the poles that once housed chicks as freshman nests, but now there are only empty, abandoned nests, or there is a support pillar on the pole that helps storks nest.
Whatever freshman-like settlement we pass through, we find several empty nests, which is frustrating. Not only can we notice this, but the experts can also prove with figures that although storks still like our country, fewer and fewer return to us.
The decline in the population of white storks can be observed at the national level.
