The nest of black storks is empty

We are eagerly waiting for our stork to arrive every spring and when they finally occupy their nests, there is some worry.

Although our focus is on white storks, black storks are also present in the country. One of our pairs of nests has been camouflaged for years, so we can track what is happening in real time with storks.

The Gemenc Forest is the only camouflaged black stork nestler that anyone can visit through the camera. We are always looking forward to catching their nest, laying the eggs in the storks, but the excitement of storks is even more exciting.

We're over. Tobias and Sarah were the inhabitants of the camouflaged nest, but they didn't arrive this year. Their fate is unknown, but the nest is not empty. Another stag was nestled there and four eggs were greeted by curious people sitting on the other side of the camera. After their hatching, two drawers died due to the rainy, cold weather, but the other two stronger drawers survived this period. Everyone thought it would be easier for the chickens to get out of here, but the weather wasn't always gracious to them. It is not known how and why the two drawers have died, but it may also have a bearing on the weather, and they may not have enough food.

We can only see the empty nest.
