The animal kingdom is governed by wolf laws. The smarter, faster, more viable survive.
Working on this principle, all three chicks hatched from three eggs in the camera-packed freshman family nesting in the Gemenc forest and we were happy.
Yet the parental couple got rid of one of the chicks. In such cases, the weakest is usually destroyed, left to their fate because you are the weakest and do not want to leave their genetic stock. However, when the second chick was also killed, they were already suspected of a droughty, dry spring.
The rainless spring brought the birdlife to such a difficult position that the chicks were destroyed one by one. The camera of the camouflaged black stork nest was also turned off because the chicks provided an increasingly disturbing sight. Today, even the last little falcon was destroyed, starving to death.
