Luckily, the injured, half-dead bird of prey was found by those who did not leave the bird alone.
The injured mouse hawk was found near Szentes. The bird of prey, which was in a very bad condition, was transported to the Hortobágy Bird Hospital. He was found to have a fracture of the humerus, which was surgically repaired. The intervention went undisturbed for a long time, then the bird's breathing and heartbeat stopped. This was the worst possible version because the chances of survival are rapidly declining. The staff of the Hortobágy Bird Hospital did their best, so they started artificial respiration. Even if the chances of the mouse hawk being brought back were small, they did not give up.
They fought for him for at least a quarter of an hour, but he understood, because the mouse hawk came back to life, and his wounds have been healing since then.
