A pet is a real family member for many. That is why, if we have to flee, there is no question that we are taking our animals with us.
In the context of the Russo-Ukrainian war, refugees leaving Ukraine are also taking their pets with them. Our country, as a neighboring country, has no question of helping to secure refugee families. Moreover, we are ready to receive animals arriving with people fleeing the war. This is what the Hungarian veterinary authority thinks. They are also prepared to encounter many animals that do not comply with current veterinary regulations (no microchips, vaccinations, etc.).
A simplified registration form is required for refugees arriving in this way. This is an exceptional situation in which Hungary has a view to the war situation in Ukraine, so a much more lenient procedure is applied.
