Living space or prison?

Kittens that do not even make their feet out of the apartment live in great security and love. Comfort, a high degree of care that these animals benefit from.

Maybe they can look longingly at the outside world, we’ll never know that. Some kittens also enjoy the comfort of home and, if they have rested enough, can explore the immediate and more distant surroundings of our home. If we only think about this, we can also realize how many more stimuli can reach a kitten outside. Then, of course, there are the cats just kept outside, in conditions considered by many to be stepdaughters. This would be the most natural way to keep it, which of course doesn’t mean you can’t take care of the owner’s pet.

As a cat keeper, what do we do for our kittens if we keep them in the apartment and don’t let them explore the environment? And are we negligent and irresponsible farmers when our kitten lives outside?

This issue concerns many and everyone acts at their own discretion, but there is no doubt that the nature of our cats must and should be taken into account.

What is certain is that every kitten has instincts and the hunt is in its blood even if it does not move out of the apartment. There is no doubt, however, that there are other dangers (perhaps more) lurking for cats that go out in the open or already live there than for those who are only in the apartment.
