Several countries around the world are feared by the coronavirus. it already has serious economic consequences, but it also poses a threat to animals.

There is no evidence at all that an animal infected with a coronavirus can pass it on to humans. So far, however, it has not been proven that animals can catch the disease from humans.

In the case of a man with a proven coronavirus infection, it was also found that his cat had also caught the virus. Although the kitten is completely healthy, the pathogen has been detected in its body.

Fear is great in people. They are also afraid of each other, but pets have also been suspected of being able to transmit the disease.

What is certain is that the cat is indeed infected with a coronavirus, but at the moment, it seems that neither the cat nor the dog is infected.

Yet the number of stray animals has increased. They get rid of their domestic animals one by one in Hungary and elsewhere. Now that the shelters are in big trouble anyway. Most shelters don’t have reserves, they run out of supplies, but the number of animals on the streets is growing.

We need to work together, but we need to protect not only people, but also our pets.
