There are more and more seals in the Thames and the people who live there are not so used to it that even dogs marvel at the animals.

Unfortunately, however, curious dogs go even further. One stray animal, for example, attacked a seal that had already been rescued several times. The seal was named after the famous singer Freddie Mercury, who first got into trouble in the Netherlands last December, then in the Thames when he caught a fish that had a hook in it and therefore needed help again.

The same seal was in such trouble now that it had to be anesthetized. He was bitten by a dog to such an extent that although they tried to save him, he was eventually helped to a gracious death.

Locals fear not only Freddie will be the victim.
