The characteristic of rhinoceroses is the horn, which at the same time drove the species to the brink of extinction. Those who attribute its medicinal and other effects slaughter the animals just to get the horn growth. The bigger the horn, the better.

Nature seems to know this, and research has shown that the wedges of these animals are getting shorter and shorter because of this. In other words, evolution tries to reduce what poses such a threat to rhinos.
