Hope for the Broad Rhinoceros

We believed that everything was lost when Sudan's last northern rhinoceros was destroyed.

In vain, they tried so much to save the rhino subspecies, they thought that this animal would die out permanently if the last female was killed.

When they had just given up the rescue of the northern rhinos, they came to the conclusion that they had produced embryos. All of this was done within a laboratory and on samples taken from some rhinos.

They worked with sperm taken from the last male with a northern edge. Although the egg has already been implanted into an ovum from a southern-wide rhino, the end result is not completely clear in the north, nor can it be a hybrid of a completely pure, southerly whiter.

Embryos developed from fertilized egg cells are later implanted in females of the southern subspecies. If the born offspring remain viable, they will only use the embryos created under laboratory conditions for the two remaining females. The ultimate goal, of course, is not to create a hybrid species, but to revive the northern rhinoceros species.
