We are experiencing restrictions due to the epidemic, which includes not being able to leave our homes, institutions, nightclubs and catering facilities have also been closed.
Many events have been canceled, canceled, held at other times. Everyone is encouraged to stay home. Animal frames have also been closed due to the risk of the virus. Mainly so as not to encourage people to move in this way, and to keep the virus, which is also dangerous to primates, away.
The Metropolitan Zoo and Botanical Garden also closed its doors to visitors, but that doesn’t mean the residents were left alone. The work of carers continues in the same way, but they are subject to special protection and work arrangements. Some workers are able to do their zoo work remotely, while others cannot, but need to do their work without contact with anyone at the time. This requires serious strategic planning from the management of the zoo.
There is no problem feeding the animals, although some food is more difficult to obtain.
Due to the lack of opening hours, the zoo publishes more videos than usual on its social sites, video sharing sites, and on their own website, which can be fun as well as providing information that can even be used for school studies. Zoo webcams are also doing a good job now.
