Zebras are characterized by a black and white stripe. The kids already know. The dot is very different from the stripe.
The stripes of zebras are as unique as the fingerprint in humans. In Kenya, however, a nature photographer discovered a unique zebra foal that could be distinguished from each animal. For the human eye, each striped animal is exactly the same, but the newborn foal could be distinguished not only by its mother, but by everyone else, for the trifle is polka dots.
The role of the zebra stripes is probably multilayered. It can serve individual distinction, communication, coming together in large crowds can even play a role in optical fraud.
Not only the photographer was surprised by what he saw, but also the professionals. This foal is the first spotted specimen to appear in the area.
