The coronavirus epidemic made life difficult for zoos. Despite the loss of income, they had to take care of their residents in the same way.
Staff at a water park in North Carolina were able to alleviate their expenses by the amount visitors left. The artificial waterfall in the water park attracts tourists not only because of the sight, but also as a kind of lucky place because many people throw coins in the water and maybe even wish for something. These coins have now been collected.
Until visitors could enter the park area due to the epidemic, workers collected the approx. 380 pounds of coin. The resulting money was used to finance the animals of the park and the costs of their care.
