When they tell an animal that it is a beast, they not only mean that they live freely in the wild, but can even behave that way by nature.
This is true even if the beast lives in the zoo, and it was even true of its ancestors several generations earlier. Wild instincts cannot be ruled out and it must be respected that they are wild, even if they are not free.
One tends to forget about this, and this can sometimes result in serious injury, or even the death of such an encounter.
These people swam with accidental or intentional intimacy with less injury and all the greater fright. Perhaps they have learned for a lifetime that the beast can be wild.
