Even adult animals can be regulated, and with puppies things are even easier, you just have to find a solution to jumping up.

When the puppy is about to jump up, swing one of the owner’s legs in front of him. Thus, the puppy’s chest will meet the nose of the owner’s shoe. Not only does this surprise the eb, but he didn’t want it that way and he gets an unpleasant surprise. At this point, a prohibitory command - say “not allowed” - should be used. This should be done until the eb learns and accepts that it is not correct.
