Before school, before leaving home, we try to set our children on their way with hugs, kisses and kind words. It is also appropriate to say goodbye to our little favorites.
We probably have kittens and dogs on our trail every morning, so there’s no chance we’ll forget to say goodbye to them, but now a research has shown that it doesn’t matter to the integrity of our home or the peace of mind of our animal.
The experiment revealed that an owner who leaves his pet alone for several hours but talks to his pet before leaving and caresses him, i.e. says goodbye to him, thereby lowering the dog’s pulse, makes his pet calmer.
