Some toys are interpreted differently by young children than by larger children. They are convinced that if they cannot see others, the reverse is also true.
For this reason, small children, for example, feel comfortable covering their eyes while hiding. If they cannot see others, they cannot logically see them.
This is somehow the case with dogs. This dog, for example, is convinced that if the master pulls the glass door, neither the master will see nor hear.
Hiding behind a large flower pot, the family's pet cries and only pops its head out of the pot when the door closes.
