If you had to say characteristic about dogs, what would it be?
Probably one would be barking and the other would be sniffing. It is true that these are two characteristic behaviors for any dog, but they can be so much more. Sniffing naturally identifies the puppy, but it is also important for maintaining mental and physical health. This has been proven by a study.
Sniffing was always typical of different types of walking, but due to the short leash it meant a much shorter time than without a leash. However, more smells meant a lower heart rate for the dogs. Research has also observed that there are times when dogs shake themselves. It was as if something was tickling their noses or they wanted to shake something off themselves. Examination has shown that this shock occurs when their heart rate goes up. Shaking will get rid of the discomfort (whatever it is) and your heart rate will return to normal. Thus, peace of mind is restored and so is health.
The nose of the dogs was created for sniffing. A walk for them is like a playground for the kids. Let them explore the environment by the smells!
