Shelters are typically overcrowded, but the period after New Year's Eve does not help with this.

Despite the many calls for owners to take extra care of their pets in the last days of the year because of firecrackers, many pets still run away in fear. At this time, animal protection workers have more work and social media sites are filled with photos of lost dogs, which owners share in the hope that the lost dog will return to them safe and sound.

No Slovak family could restrain their pet on the last day of the year, so the animal fled into the world in fear. It worked so well that it traveled 1,300 kilometers.

Among the passengers of a tourist bus, a woman found a dog, which she took in and traveled on the bus with the people. There is no exact information about how the story of their dog reached the owners, but now they can go all the way to Latvia for their dog.
