Even if the stories and even the sculptures embody decades of waiting, they still testify to the loyalty of the dogs. Hachiko, the akita inu is one of the most famous examples of this. His owner had passed away nine years ago, but the puppy was still waiting for his master to show up at the train station, whom he escorted to the train every day and went in front of in the afternoon.

Rex was a loyal puppy from a Brooklyn merchant. After Rex was destroyed, a memorial was erected to him in addition to the tomb of his master.

Decades and even centuries have passed since then, but anyone who just finds Rex’s tomb and is a dog owner moves something in it. The consequence of this is that at Rex's statue, at the front legs of the dog statue, there is not a small pile of twigs.
