The shelters were desperate. The epidemiological situation has only increased the number of their protégés, they are constantly enriched with unwanted reproduction.
Caregivers in shelters that do not have reserves and run on existing feed supplies now only really feel how much trouble the epidemic is causing. Coronavirus is here or there, their protégés are hungry, and a lot of hungry mouth stomachs need to be filled daily.
Not only did donations and leftovers from the canteen dwindle, but the number of adoptions also declined with the suspension of the visit. Regardless, however, the captured new protégés are constantly arriving. Basically, there is a constant shortage of space in domestic shelters.
Even if it is not possible to transfer a shelter resident from one to one owner, he or she can adopt a dog or kitten after a telephone and e-mail consultation. It is also possible to donate. Moreover, a donation by bank transfer can be made even for those who belong to the age group at risk of the coronavirus.
