Our dogs are usually family members, and we take care of them accordingly. They need to be taken care of differently in the winter cold.
With the onset of cold, the dogs that are kept outside are allowed into a warmer room in the house, where they do not soak or freeze. Even if it's not in the air with its owners, a warm and safe hut is a lot. However, if the dog stays outside, it is necessary to provide a lead that is not exposed to rain, snow or frosty wind.
A dog house appropriate for the dog's body size is key. It is worth keeping in mind that if you are thinking of a home-made lead or looking for a ready-made product, the entrance to the house should not be too large, so as not to escape the warmth and the cold. Even so, it is a good idea to make a windshield of some material on the door of the dog house, which will further insulate it.
Dogs walk in and out of the house, and the mud that drips from their wet feet can make the bottom of the dog house wet, so you should not lining the inside of the house with cloth as it will make the lacquer even colder. It is worth thinking about straw as this problem can be avoided as well as good insulation and natural material.
If possible, the dog house should be placed in a yard that is more protected from rain and wind.
