Year-round protection is required

With the onset of spring, we have a greater desire for nature. This is now somewhat prevented by the coronavirus epidemic.

However, for dogs kept in the apartment, no walk can be missed on any given day. We are asked to stay in our home to curb the epidemic, but the dog still has to walk at least twice a day.

Not only the coronavirus lurks on us, but also the tick, flea, mosquito. These are some of the inconveniences, and at times they are all threatening to dogs. It also means taking care of the protection of our pets throughout the year.

Even if we just take a short walk around the apartment block, our home, the ticks are waiting for that. Climbing up the fur of our companion animals, they look for the right place to suck blood. Blood sucking is the minor concern. A much bigger concern is that there are 42 species of ticks and the saliva of each can be a source of danger. Tick-spreading ticks most actively bitter the lives of our pets between February and August, but we essentially need to support our dogs throughout the year to keep them away from bloodsuckers.

In addition to using tick repellents, it is advisable to obtain a tick remover spoon that can be used to easily remove the discomfort.
