One of the most popular terrarium dwellers among reptiles is the turtle. However, the marsh turtle is a native species of our country, the re-emergence of which means that it will find suitable living conditions for itself.
This is also why they were happy for the swamp turtles to reappear in the Pilisi Park Forest. This is a sign that the environment is starting to become what the only native turtle in Hungary, the swamp turtle, likes.
Several lakes in the Visegrád Mountains have been designed to be as favorable as possible for those who like wetlands, probably due to the fact that the marsh turtle is appearing in the area more and more often. The marsh turtle is very sensitive to environmental change, which is why it is so rare in nature.
